Harriet Tubman Is Born Araminta Ross

Tubman, is born Araminta Ross in March 1822. She led 13 missions rescuing approximately 70 enslaved people, including family and friends, using a network of antislavery activists and safe houses known as the Underground Railroad. John Brown once wrote in a letter to his son that, “He Harriet is the most of a man naturally; that I ever met with.”
